A Group committed to environmental protection
There is a close link between the sustained success of Pernod Ricard’s activities and its commitment to environmental protection. Fully aware of the issues at hand, the Group is putting in place environmentally responsible policies at the production sites it operates in each country.
Since its creation, the Group has worked to preserve natural resources and reduce the environmental impact of its activities. The subsidiaries play a key role in this effort. Conscious of their responsibility, they undertake voluntary and innovative initiatives centred in 6 major areas.
Certification and environmental reporting
The Group applies a strict and rigorous certification policy that comprises 4 certifications: ISO 22 000, ISO 9001, ISO 14 001 and OHSAS 18 001. As of June 30 2009, 93% of volumes produced by the Group came from sites that have obtained environmental management certification.
In parallel, the Group produces an environmental report concerning its 107 industrial production sites around the world. The report focuses on the use of natural resources, waste production and environmental protection.
